Wolves in the Wild
Challenge:
Design a museum exhibit that educates the public about the ecological importance of wolves and advocates for their reintroduction into the wild. The exhibit concept needed to be visually cohesive and effectively balance scientific information with engaging visuals to create awareness and inspire public advocacy.
Solution:
Wolves in the Wild is a conceptualized exhibit that blends research-driven content with interactive elements to raise awareness about wolf conservation. Key elements include:
Visual Identity: A primary logo and a brand style sheet featuring carefully selected colors and typefaces create a cohesive and professional aesthetic for the exhibit.
Infographics: Designed to explain the historical context of wolf extermination and their ecological importance, these visuals emphasize the species’ role in maintaining balanced ecosystems.
Interactive Game: Developed to illustrate how wolf populations influence herbivore and plant populations, this engaging activity connects audiences to the ecological significance of apex predators.
Promotional Materials: A memorable exhibit poster and advertising banners, and an exhibit entrance banner to promote the exhibit.
Merchandise Mockups: Conceptualized items such as T-shirts, tote bags, and mugs serve dual purposes: enhancing the visitor experience by creating memorable keepsakes and raising funds for wolf preservation efforts.

This project represents the early stages of an exhibit concept. If fully realized, it would include many detailed interpretive panels, interactive objects, immersive elements like touchscreens or soundscapes, and would be supported by nature photography and videography to engage and educate visitors. Wolves are a keystone species with a profoundly positive impact on ecosystems, and both public awareness and positive perception are vital to their survival. I believe an exhibit like this could make a meaningful impact.
